So I usually don't give 5 stars unless I am really impressed. The staff was amazing at check in. They did not have the rooms we had selected at booking... without asking we were upgraded and given complementary waters, parking was taken care of and the staff assisted in leaving a message with items for a guest that we had helped with her luggage...outstanding.
We booked this hotel for two nights to see the aquarium and the Hampton Bays for our summer vacation.$100 stolen from my purse the day we checked in. Reported the theft to the front desk & a lady claimed to be the assistant manager of the hotel responded with I talked to the people entered the room said they didnt touch the money. I believe the assistant manager was involved with the theft. The assistant manager initially called me 6PM the day of the incident at the time we were just about to leave the room for dinner. She threatened us that we cannot leave the room for dinner because we were blaming their staff and she is going to call the police to report the theft. We had a 16 months old with us and we asked the assistant manager that can we quickly come back from our dinner by the time police comes since my baby is crying and she goes back to sleep 7PM? She said you cannot leave the room now. So, we were waiting for the police to come and after about half an hour later at 6:30PM, she called us back and said she talked to her general manager of the hotel and the GM said we can leave the room and go for dinner & the hotel will do their own investigation and they are not going to call the police at this time. We did not hear back anything from the assistant manager or from the GM during our stay in the hotel, so at the time of our check out we asked the front desk and demanded for the explanation about the theft. The assistant manager left me a voice massage om my cell phone around 2:40PM on the day we checked out of the hotel and said I talked to the people entered the room said they didnt touch the money- more details to come!
The rooms were very nice for a great price! Our room was very clean and when my aunt requested her room cleaned be better, they did exactly as she asked. The people at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was AMAZING! Definitely the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. My only complaint would be that the air-conditioning was not great. We could not get it to work until we turned it way down and ended up freezing. We preferred to be extremely cold rather than hot (especially since it was hot outside) so we just bundled up at night. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we are in town!
Really good size room. Good screen and beds. Good breakfast (cage free eggs ) but could do with a few more healthier bread options. The only thing I didn't like was the layout as It has a nice river view we never saw. Breakfast is car park view... Ohh and the room air con unit is in ridiculous bedside floor position so it wakes you up when it fires up and blows cold air at the bed. We had to leave it off for sleep. To end on a positive, all staff were friendly and helpful.
My family and i have stayed here a few times and the staff is nice and welcoming. The rooms were clean, but only the water view (more expensive) side has tubs, which can be inconvenient when traveling with small children. They always accommodate and switch us over after arriving and reminding i needed a room with a tub. Ive never been in the summer but there are water toy rentals to enjoy the river. The indoor pool is nice, but smells very strong, hard to stay in for too long. The complimentary breakfast is good and the menu changes each morning. Theres a Starbucks coffee in the entry as well and you can order custom drinks, as well, they have a bar and small bites. There are a couple of delivery food options close by and a restaurant steps away. There is an outdoor pool, but i havent used it. The aquarium is attached right next to the hotel which is convenient. I love Hyatt hotels and this one is ok. Staff was nice and clean hotel overall.
