Amazing atmosphere, Amazing service, Amazing food....If you are visiting the area be sure to make your reservations you do not want to miss this experience. If I lived closeby I would be here every week. The appetizers of sachets of pear/cheese with white sauce...so delicious. The mini lobster rolls were good but very filling.The duck breast was deliciously perfect for my friend and the braised short rib over succotash was tender and delicious and a large serving!
Tucked away in Jamesport you will find this old but very well kept Inn. Take a stroll around the grounds. Check out the regal old bar and sitting rooms. We sat outside for and early dinner looking at local vineyards. The duck wing appetizer was delicious. Sweet with a little kick. The mussels and cockles app was my main dish. Huge delicious mussels and tiny sweet clams in a white wine and garlic broth. Save the steaming hot fresh bread for dipping.The salmon was also very special over spinach with shaved veggies. The burger looked amazing and from the reaction from the table next to us, was as good as it looked. Take a ride and have a special meal here.
Absolutely beautiful venue. It's a 155 year old historic landmark beautifully restored with all the modern amenities. The stay was incredibly worth it and enjoyable. The food was insanely good. It's farm to table and you can definitely tell. We attended a wedding hosted here and would recommend it to anyone looking at it for a similar event. Also recommend this for a cute romantic stay to go shopping or hang at the vineyards.
Incredible food and an absolutely exquisite scenery. The crisped chicken had an incredible crust, but was juicy beyond expectations and the duck in particular was out of this world (and I don't even like duck as a general rule!) The north fork chardonnay was divine and the staff was attentive, courteous, and professional.
This charming bed and breakfast was the backdrop for my husband's surprise 50th birthday party last month.....and the experience was FANTASTIC!! I started planning in May with Colin, who helped me organize the details of the event, and saw it through to impeccable completion. He went above and beyond by personally accommodating guests who checked in after midnight! The next morning we had the pleasure of meeting Irene, who was in charge of the surprise breakfast that was a huge hit. The food blew our guests away.....all of whom were foodies from NY and Philly. Tough crowd but all were very impressed by the food and the service. Elvis and Adam were also great, making sure that the culinary experience was top notch. Can't wait to go back!
